layered thoughts II

I did replica of one of my paintings named layered thoughts. I added a bunch of images that reflected her interests. I love hiding images inside the painting so when people are really focusing up on it they see this and that.

the absence of it all

My great grandmother was a painter in the later years of her life. She mostly did still life's of flowers and such. I decided to try my hand at it. The shallow lights along with the absence of all the details kind've make you wonder about why the lights are low and the ettiquette of the people back in that time. Who has a bowl of fruit next to freshly cut flowers anymore? We're the definition of a more simpler yet sophisticated people? Ya we're smarter, but we take a lot for granite.

There for you while no one for me

I've always had a minor fear of drowning in the ocean because you can't see the bottom. Isn't that everyone's far though?? The unknowing?
There was a time where I felt that I was doing absolutely everything to help friends and acquaintances while I didn't take care of myself. I constantly pushed others to better themselves and I kind've faded into the depths of not knowing what to do nxt. Thankfully I realized what path i was going down and decided to change for the better. And here I am now trying to reach out to others and letting them know that there are people out here that truly understand what in the hells going on!!

replica of my Vietnam painting

I was asked by a few people to do a replica of my vietnam painting that I did a year or so ago. I was kind've hesitant because I wasn't sure if I could make it look exactly the same. I came to realize that it doesn't have to look the same. I added and took out some more things throughout the painting. It's the same idea but with a twist. I feel that even if it is a replica your getting something totally new. This is almost finished.

english garden

I love how I added a creepy tone just by using these colors. I accidentally used a little too much water in the paint making the trees look like they were dripping, and to my surprise I think it looks great. Having them drip makes the painting look bleak and mysterious. I'm still working on the statue owls and the walls. I'm going to make the walls cracked and crumbling. let me know what you guys think.

Colorful love

Hummingbirds remind me of my mom, so it's only practical that I would do a little something like this number. I wanted to emphasize on the dark and bright colors being as my mother loved those kind of paintings that I did. There are three hummingbirds and I will define them more as I shade everything.

memories

aww the memories i have of this little cattle step. There's one in my home town where that's beat up so I decided to paint one in the middle of the desert. This one is not quite done yet. Im gonna darken the dirt as well as the fence.
